Gravitate collaborates with Iowa State University's Ivy College of Business
Gravitate Coworking recently had a unique opportunity to collaborate with Iowa State University's Ivy College of Business. As part of their "Live Cases in Marketing" course, student consultants were tasked with developing strategies to both increase brand awareness of our company as well as grow interest and utilization of the meeting rooms at our five locations.
The group of student consultants visited our Gravitate Downtown coworking space to learn more about our business model, target audience, and specific marketing challenges. They conducted in-depth interviews with our team and coworking members, analyzed data, and conducted customer surveys to gain a comprehensive understanding of our needs.
After weeks of research, many email exchanges, and zoom calls with our team, the student consultants presented their marketing strategies at the Iowa State Research Park. Our team members, Taryn, Abby, and Geoff, were invited to serve as judges and evaluate the presentations based on their creativity, feasibility, and approachability.
The student consultants' presentations showcased a variety of promising marketing approaches, ranging from social media campaigns and QR coasters to untapped market sectors. Ultimately, the winning team impressed us with their comprehensive and actionable plan.
Congratulations to consultants Katie Tippet, Ashanni Brooks, and Ella Peterson who were awarded "Best Solution" and to Diego Andrade Robles, Joshua Graves, and Sam McMillan for securing second place. Thank you to freelance photographer Liam McCoy who documented the event (Liam the pictures are fantastic!).
This was an incredible experience and we recommend it. If your company is interested in being a potential future case study, please contact Ivy’s Professor Susan Fleming
