Our community, Gravitate Coworking, has now been adjusting to this new normal for two weeks and I’m pretty excited by how I’ve seen our members and our team adapt in these unprecedented times to embrace change.

Tips and tricks for working from home
In July 2018 I took a position as a remote employee and have 'worked from home' for a little over 18 months. While most of my work has been spent at Gravitate Coworking — I still have a few tips and tricks I thought I'd share about working from home for an extended amount of time.
COVID-19 Update 03/15/2020
Like many of you, our team has been following the news all weekend with regards to COVID-19. As you may have heard, Governor Reynolds has announced on Saturday night that the virus has moved into the “community spread” phase here in the Des Moines-area.
Gravitate Coworking prides itself on how we’re able to bring people together but that is at cross-purposes with slowing the spread of the virus by #FlatteningTheCurve.
Gravitate member update and preparing for COVID-19
As the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases grows both in Iowa and in the U.S. we want you to know we are committed to doing what we can to make both our locations a safe work environment as well as helping #FlattenTheCurve. No one, that we’re aware of, in our community has contracted the virus and we’re doing our best to keep ahead of that possibility. As such, the following policies and procedures have been put into place:
Grand Opening Celebration at Gravitate Downtown
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting last week. It was a pretty special event and I’m glad that you were a part of it. Attendance was far bigger than we expected but thankfully we bought enough beer, wine and snacks.
We’re really proud of the new Gravitate Coworking—Downtown space and the community that gives it life every day. We couldn’t wait for the event to be able to share it with all of you.
